The Story SystemBetaBrighter Future

Part 4 · The System AssembledLesson 3.1 · 3 min readFree lesson, opening

Welcome, and the capstone brief

You have built all six stories now. The system is only finished when it is working, so this is where it goes to work. We do not build a new story here. We take the six you have and put them to work, together, in the rooms where they earn their keep, and then keep all six alive as your company changes. The writing is done. What remains is deployment and maintenance.

Section Three assembles the system: the Master Table that holds all six stories on one page, the three lengths each one deploys at, and a performance of Clara’s entire system, the six-story pitch, in about six minutes. Section Four is the deployment map, which story goes where, in what order, for every audience. And Section Five is about keeping the system alive, because a set of stories that is not maintained quietly stops being true.

First, as always, a recording, and this one is bigger than the others.
