The four parts: Problem, Possibility, Action, Impact
This is Section Two. We build your Purpose Story, the fight you are in today.
The Purpose Story is the present-tense story. Not where you came from, and not where you are going, but what you are fighting for right now.
The Purpose Story has four parts, and they run in a specific order. The Problem, named with scale and specificity. The Possibility, stated as something you know is achievable, concrete enough to picture. The Action, named precisely. And the Impact at scale, if it works. This is not the Impact Story you build in Part 4. Here, Impact at scale means what becomes possible if the Purpose succeeds; the Impact Story later deals in evidence of what has already changed. Problem, Possibility, Action, Impact. Let me take each one.
Four parts. All present tense. This is the fight today, not the founding.
Now the part that makes or breaks it: specificity.
